Hi Travelers! I am a mom to a vivacious 4 year old girl. My husband and I have been traveling with her since she was just a few months old & feel like traveling with kids is easy, as long as you have a plan! We live about 10 minutes away from Disneyland and know all the insider tricks! But Orange County has so much more to offer than just the House of Mouse and I'm excited to share in your adventure.

Essentials

What to know before you travel to Orange County with Kids

  • With its sun-kissed beaches, Hollywood glamor, surf culture, and lure of near-perfect weather year-round, it’s hardly surprising Southern California is a go-to destination. Comprised of a grouping of counties, “SoCal” is a region along the southern Pacific Coast of the Golden State, encompassing miles of beach lines, many key attractions, and scenic views along the way. Everything from hiking, to food, to shopping, and of course, Disney, you’ll be sure to find something to appeal to everyone.

  • The area known as Orange County is a patchwork of 34 independent municipalities whose population is one of the most culturally diverse in the world. There are a number of airports which can serve the area.

John Wayne Airport (SNA) is the most obvious, followed by Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Long Beach Airport (LBG). All offer incoming flights from all major carriers. Be sure to check prices for all three as tickets can vary.
